We are working hard to get the library back open and our wonderful patrons back in. Between road closures and broken pipes, we can use all the love and patience we can get! We are grateful the damage to the public part of the library is minimal, none of the books were damaged out there, WHEW! However our office area got slammed, so all that stuff is in the front area of the library and we are drying out. We are hoping by Tuesday we will be cleared out and able to open, but I can’t make promises. We are definitely going to be open for Summer Reading on Friday and we will have the front lobby open starting Monday at 10 am to 5:30 pm to sign up for Summer Reading and Munching with Monet until the library is open again. We are checking the book drop each day and fines are not assessed on those days we aren’t open. Call us if you have any questions and thank you for your patience. It could have been so much worse.

The library will be closed tomorrow, June 7th due to flooding from a broken drain pipe during todays storm. The books and main part of the library are ok, as the flooding was mostly in the back office area. The teen painting activity tomorrow, June 7th, will still be held in the community room at 1:00 pm. After assessing the damage tomorrow, a decision will be made about how long the closure will last. We will post more information as soon as possible.
