Our next GREAT READS FOR GIRLS event will be February 11th at 7 PM. Girls, ages 8-12, and mothers (or another caring adult), are invited to stop by the library to register and check out a book in preparation for this event (registration is required by Jan. 30th).

We will be reading Number the Stars by Lois Lowry: Ten-year-old Annemarie Johansen and her best friend Ellen Rosen often think of life before the war. It’s now 1943 and their life in Copenhagen is filled with school, food shortages, and the Nazi soldiers marching through town. When the Jews of Denmark are “relocated,” Ellen moves in with the Johansens and pretends to be one of the family. Soon Annemarie is asked to go on a dangerous mission to save Ellen’s life.

We hope you will join us for a lively discussion, friendship, food and fun!

Storytime: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 AM Kids Club: Wednesdays 3:30 PM Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.

Girls and Moms got to watercolor paint a cute giraffe. Thanks to all who attended! Our next Book Club Event will be for the girls and will be on February 11 at 7:00 PM and feature Number the Stars by Lois Lowry.
