The Children’s Summer Reading program is in full swing. Children’s packets, containing reading logs and weekly craft and activities, are still available outside the Library front door.

StoryWalk:

StoryWalk® is located in the AF City Park, starting directly across from the Library.  You are invited to participate at your leisure.  This weeks story is 1001 Pirate Things to Spot”. A new story will be place each Friday during the 6-week program (StoryWalk® will not be available on Wednesday afternoon -Thursday afternoon to allow for mowing at the park).  Please be sure to observe social distancing guidelines.

Teens who are registered for Summer Reading, don’t forget to turn in your reading report by Saturday to help your team on its journey through the forest. Click HERE for more details.

We are opening our doors!

The library staff is happy to announce that our doors will be open to the public on a limited basis starting Monday, June 1.

We will be allowing 3 patrons at a time inside the library for 20-minute sessions to browse and check out. We ask that you call the library at 208-226-2335 to schedule your time slot. We are requiring masks, social distancing, and ask patrons to be considerate and responsible in handling materials or items.

Our hours will be Monday-Friday 10:00-6:00 and Saturdays 10:00-5:00.

We are still offering curbside service. We ask that all items continue to be returned through our book and video drop boxes.

Computer, copies, and other office-like services are not available at this point.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and willingness to allow a safe reopening for our patrons and staff. We look forward to seeing you!

Information for our curbside service starting Tuesday, May 26. 

We are excited to be able to serve you again soon. We appreciate your patience as we follow guidelines to phase our reopening. We wanted to let you know how our curbside service will work. This will be in effect until further notice. At this time, the library will not be open for other library services. Thank you for understanding.

1. Go to our website at www.aflibrary.org and click on the KOHA icon. Log in using your library card number and PIN. If you don’t know your PIN, call the library and we will assist you.  You can then place items on hold. Or call the library starting May 26 at 208-226-2335. Holds will be ready the next day if we receive your requests by 3:00 pm.
2.  To pick up your check-outs, simply pull in to a designated curbside parking spot and call a number that will be posted. This number will be different from our library phone number. We will promptly bring your bagged and checked-out books to you. Your order will include your check-outs slip with the date they will be due. Any returns need to be dropped off using the book drop as we will be following our sanitizing procedures.
