We are opening our doors!

The library staff is happy to announce that our doors will be open to the public on a limited basis starting Monday, June 1.

We will be allowing 3 patrons at a time inside the library for 20-minute sessions to browse and check out. We ask that you call the library at 208-226-2335 to schedule your time slot. We are requiring masks, social distancing, and ask patrons to be considerate and responsible in handling materials or items.

Our hours will be Monday-Friday 10:00-6:00 and Saturdays 10:00-5:00.

We are still offering curbside service. We ask that all items continue to be returned through our book and video drop boxes.

Computer, copies, and other office-like services are not available at this point.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and willingness to allow a safe reopening for our patrons and staff. We look forward to seeing you!

Information for our curbside service starting Tuesday, May 26. 

We are excited to be able to serve you again soon. We appreciate your patience as we follow guidelines to phase our reopening. We wanted to let you know how our curbside service will work. This will be in effect until further notice. At this time, the library will not be open for other library services. Thank you for understanding.

1. Go to our website at www.aflibrary.org and click on the KOHA icon. Log in using your library card number and PIN. If you don’t know your PIN, call the library and we will assist you.  You can then place items on hold. Or call the library starting May 26 at 208-226-2335. Holds will be ready the next day if we receive your requests by 3:00 pm.
2.  To pick up your check-outs, simply pull in to a designated curbside parking spot and call a number that will be posted. This number will be different from our library phone number. We will promptly bring your bagged and checked-out books to you. Your order will include your check-outs slip with the date they will be due. Any returns need to be dropped off using the book drop as we will be following our sanitizing procedures.

Treasurer’s Report

The library BOOK DROPS will be open Monday, May 18^th! We would ask that all patrons with library books and movies would return the materials during the week of May 18^th – 22^nd through the book drop. The library staff will spend that week quarantining, disinfecting and then shelving those library materials. All materials that come in must be subjected to a 72-hour quarantine period before they are available again.

On Tuesday May 26^th the library will start curbside delivery to the public using our parking lot. Starting that Tuesday books can be put on hold by going to the library website at www.aflibrary.org  and then using the online catalog or calling the library at 226-2335. Those items, if available, will be ready for pick up the next day.

More information will be posted next week through the paper, the library Facebook page and our website at www.aflibrary.org or by calling 226-2335 after May 18th.

This process will be our operating procedure until it is advisable to open the doors to a limited number of patrons at a time, and then transitioning to full library services.
