Every Child Ready to Read Family Workshops will be held Wednesday, Oct. 4, 11, & 15. This is a program that involves young children (ages birth to 6) and their parents/ caregivers in learning the early literacy skills that help to prepare children for reading success in school.
Each Wednesday, a different early literacy skill will be highlighted. Parents will:
- Have a chance to practice the skill with their child.
- Take home a book to keep and read with their child.
- Learn fun interactive activities and practical tips to use at home.
By the end of the session, each family will have received great books, a book bag, a variety of storytime materials, and great information to help prepare their children for school! REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED: Forms are available at the library.
