Teen March Book Madness 2017 Area teens ages 12 – 18 recently submitted completed tournament brackets for the AF library’s “March Book Madness” Contest. The tournament began with 16 popular young adult and Jr. Fiction book titles. Teens voted in four rounds of competition for their favorite novels to select the most popular book. And the March Book Madness Championship Book goes to . . . . . CINDER by Marissa Meyer.

We had a “sweet” time at our recent Great Reads for Girls event, as we discussed “The Candy Shop Wars” by Brandon Mull. Thanks to all who participated!

Our last Books4Boys event of the season was a discussion of “Woods Runner” by Gary Paulsen. We had a great discussion, yummy treats, and a fun activity where we learned about some of the spying techniques used during the Revolutionary War. Thanks to all who participated.

Kids’ Club, for children ages 5-12, meets at the Library every Wednesday after school from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. (children age 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult). We offer stories, art projects, crafts, science activities, Lego Club, games and lots of fun. The program is free of charge and there is no need to register.
Need a fun family activity for Spring Break week? Bring the kids to the AF Library to watch Sing on Wednesday, March 22 at 1:30 p.m. in the library community room.
