Join us W
ednesday, May 18 at 7 p.m. for a workshop on Emergency Preparedness: Water, Fuel and Sanitation. Our guest presenter Jed Norwood has 30 years experience as a practitioner of emergency preparedness and is a certified wilderness survival expert. He incorporates his field training into urban situations and helps others learn how to be ready in a crisis. He will focus on how to collect, forage and store water and fuel, and he will address the often overlooked, but critical topic of sanitation. He will underscore how each of these elements are connected and are crucial to the welfare of our families. The presentation is free to the public.

Mother-Daughter Book Club Meets April 21
Registration is now open for our mother-daughter book group to take place on Thursday April 21 at 7 pm.
Girls ages 8-12 and their mothers, or another caring adult, are invited to participate in a lively book discussion, create a fun craft, and meet new friends. Refreshments will be served.
The group will read The Frog Princess, by E. D. Baker. After reluctantly kissing a frog, awkward, fourteen-year-old Princess Emeralda suddenly finds herself a frog, too, and sets off with the prince to seek the means–and the self-confidence–to become human again. Although the Disney movie by the same name is loosely based on the premise of this novel, they are two very different stories – this is a wonderful, must-read book.
Registration forms and copies of the book are available at the library front desk. Participants must register no later than April 16. For more information call 226-2335.
