Patrons are allowed 4 movies per account.

Movies are good for 7 days and can be renewed once, if not on hold for someone else.

Fines are $0.25 per item per day, once overdue. A $2 fine will be placed on patron’s account for cleaning over 4 minutes on any type of disc. Parents are to oversee children’s usage of DVD’s.

Parents are responsible for requesting that restrictions be placed on their children’s accounts regarding movie ratings and internet usage.

Books, Music, & Audiobooks:

There are no limits on the number of books, music, or audiobooks that can be checked out at any given time.

These items can be renewed twice, if they are not on hold for someone else.

New books are good for 14 days; Children’s backpacks are 7 days, and all other books, music, and audiobooks are good for 28 days.

Fines are $0.15 per item per day, once overdue.

Magazines:

There are no limits on the number of magazines that can be checked out at any given time.

Magazines are good for 14 days and can be renewed once, if not on hold for someone else.

Fines are $0.15 per item per day, once overdue.

Fines:

Once the fine balance for a patron reaches $5 or more, the account is restricted and cannot be used until the fines are paid to under $5.

Once the fine balance for a patron reaches $25 or more, the account will be turned over to Power County Collections.

Patrons are financially and legally responsible for all materials borrowed on their card and also any minors listed on their account. All minors need to be attached to a parent’s account.

If an item is 90 days overdue, it will be considered lost and the cost of the item plus a processing fee will be charged to the patron’s account. The item then becomes their property and cannot be returned. Fines $25 or more that are owed for 90 days or longer will be turned over to Power County Collections and at that point, the money owed must be paid to Power County Collections, and this will adversely affect their credit.

Patrons are also responsible for notifying the Library immediately in the case of an address, phone number, or email change, loss, and/or theft of their card.

Cards cannot be used by others to check out materials unless arrangements have been previously made with the Library Director.
